One of Heroku's shared databases went down this afternoon. It took my site, and the sites of a few others with it. The automated Heroku alerts failed and we were basically left stranded.
- Heroku support is only 5 days a week.
- IRC #heroku was empty.
- The official Twitter @heroku account wasn't replying.
This wasn't good!! So I decided to go and tweet some Heroku devs I could find. One of those was Curt Micol. Within half an hour he had replied, was in IRC, and had isolated and fixed the problem.
